Brussels Days in Berlin

A Brussels delegation travelled to the German capital at the start of October on the occasion of the 12th Brussels Days. In particular, it provided an opportunity to strengthen economic relations between the two regions, at a time of celebration of 25 years of bilateral relations, and promote Brussels enterprises.

Brussels Invest & Export was one of the organisers, with special attention paid to the audiovisual and virtual reality sectors.

A dense and varied programme, which not only allowed our companies to meet potential partners and draw inspiration from Berlin initiatives, but which also succeeded in attracting the interest of German economic stakeholders:

  • A seminar devoted to real estate investment prospects in strategic development zones in Brussels, and, in particular, the project for a media district (Mediapark) on the current site of the RTBF and the VRT
  • Visits to Berlin companies and studios working in the field of co-production, post-production and virtual reality
  • A seminar on the Belgian offering that is attractive for the audiovisual sector in terms of tax (Tax Shelter)

Organised in collaboration with Visit Brussels, Brussels International, Screen Brussels, Atrium, and MAD Brussels, and led by the Minister-President, Rudi Vervoort and the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Cécile Jodogne, these Brussels Days also involved tourism, artistic and cultural aspects.

The next edition is planned in New York in May 2018.
